How it works
Step 1: Light Energy Penetrates the Nail:
The laser emits a specific wavelength of light that can pass through the nail plate without causing damage. This light energy targets the fungus (dermatophytes) living beneath the nail, deep in the nail bed.
Step 2: Heat Kills the Fungus:
The laser generates controlled heat, which disrupts and destroys fungal cells while leaving healthy tissue unharmed. This heat also prevents fungal spores from multiplying, stopping the infection from spreading.
Step 3: Nail Begins to Heal & Regrow:
Once the fungus is eliminated, the damaged nail grows out naturally over several months. As the infected portion is replaced by new, clear nail growth, the toenail’s appearance gradually improves.
