What is Cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy emits a fine jet of Nitrous Oxide under high pressure with laser precision to skin imperfections such as skin tags, cherry spots and milia. 

  • It freezes the inter-cellular fluid destroying the tissue by rupturing the membrane

  • There is no damage to surrounding tissue, this treatment is precise and highly effective

  • Each procedure takes 5-30 seconds depending on tissue density and size of area

  • Post treatment the treated cells will constrict and remove themselves from the skin over the following 1-2 weeks 

  • Does This Treatment Hurt?
    Treatment is a mild sensation, there is no need for anesthesia. Sensations vary but most describe this treatment as feeling like a very quick, hot pinprick.
  • Are There Any Side Effects?
    This is a non invasive procedure so there are no lasting side effects from the procedure, a patch test is required during your skin assessment to review your reaction to the Laser therapy.
  • How Long Does this Treatment Take?
    Treatments will take anywhere between 5-15 minutes depending on area treated. Each case is unique but a course of 3-5 is typical to see best results, spaced every 6-8 weeks.
  • Is This Treatment Suitable for Me?
    This is a non invasive procedure suitable for people of all ages. If you are unsure; get in touch, our clinician can advise if you are suitable for the treatment. Although rarely a serious condition, spider veins can be an indicator of underlying health issues so we advise you to speak to your GP before undertaking any treatment and especially if they are cause you discomfort or pain.
